Happy New Year! A Look Back at Our Christmas Auction...

First of all, here's wishing you a very Happy New Year!  I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful 2010!

Pieces 'N Patches certainly had a fabulous Christmas auction/fund raising event to end 2009 on a very positive note.  A grand total of $2,314 was raised for our club!  A huge thank you goes out to each and every person who contributed to the day's success.  We had great participation among club members, which resulted in lots of handmade items and gift baskets to bid on, lots of baked goods that were donated for our silent auction, and we had lots of wonderful food for our potluck luncheon.  Here's a glimpse into all the fun we had...

 
     

What a great time we had on July 20!

Thanks so much to Karen Ashley for sharing her photos below from our flea market and catered luncheon on July 20.  As you can see, we treated ourselves to a fabulous meal and some great "quilter's flea market" shopping.  In addition, we also welcomed into office the new Board members for 2009 - 2010.  Enjoy the photos.

Annual Potluck Luncheon

What a wonderful time we had yesterday at our annual potluck luncheon!  There were 40 members present, and it was apparent that we have some excellent cooks among us!  There was food galore, LOTS of fabulous doorprizes, and our new 2008-2009 Board members were installed.  In addition, we had three of our member longarm quilters on hand exhibiting their beautiful work (thank you Marilyn Gore, Darlene Szabo and Carole Steitz) AND we had four new members join!  Welcome Donna Thomas, Judy Schoeny, Suzie Johnson and Marguerite Steiner. It was a wonderful day, and a great time was had by all!
